How Etsy fees work
Most Etsy sales in the US carry three fees, plus a fourth if the buyer came from one of Etsy’s Offsite Ads:

Frequently asked questions
Does Etsy charge fees on shipping?
Yes. The transaction fee and payment processing fee both apply to the shipping you charge the buyer. Charging more for shipping does not avoid fees.
When does the Offsite Ads fee apply?
Only when a buyer clicks an Offsite Ad for your shop and orders within 30 days. Shops under $10,000 in yearly sales pay 15% and can opt out; shops above that pay 12% and must take part. The fee never exceeds $100.00 per order.
Is the listing fee charged again when an item sells?
For a single item, you pay $0.20 when you list it. For listings with more than one in stock, Etsy renews the listing for $0.20 after each sale, so the calculator counts one listing fee per sale.
