How much does eBay take from a $100.00 sale?
In most categories, $14.00: 13.6% of the sale plus the $0.40 per-order fee, so you earn $86.00. If the buyer pays shipping or sales tax, the fee is calculated on that total too.

For most categories, eBay takes 13.6% of the total sale plus $0.40 per order ($0.30 if the order is $10.00 or less). The total sale includes the item price, the shipping you charge, handling and sales tax, so the fee applies to shipping and tax too. eBay says there are no separate third-party payment processing fees on top.
You also get up to 250 zero insertion fee listings a month; after that, most listings cost $0.35 each.

eBay fees are only part of the cost of a sale. To find your real profit, subtract everything you paid:
Profit = what eBay pays you − what you paid for the item − shipping label − packaging
For example, say you buy an item for $8.00 and sell it for $30.00 with free shipping in most categories. eBay takes $4.48, so you earn $25.52. After a $6.00 shipping label, your profit is $11.52.
Enter your own shipping charge, sales tax and category in the calculator above, then subtract your item and label costs the same way.
In most categories, $14.00: 13.6% of the sale plus the $0.40 per-order fee, so you earn $86.00. If the buyer pays shipping or sales tax, the fee is calculated on that total too.
Yes. The final value fee is a percentage of the total amount of the sale, which includes shipping and handling you charge and sales tax. Charging more for shipping does not lower your fees.
$0.40 for orders over $10.00 and $0.30 for orders of $10.00 or less. Men’s and women’s athletic shoes selling for $150 or more don’t pay it.
If you’re a US seller and the buyer’s delivery or registered address is outside the US, eBay adds 1.65% of the total sale — unless you ship through eBay International Shipping, which avoids it.
Yes. Promoted Listings ads, optional listing upgrades and extra insertion fees are charged separately, and eBay adds an extra percentage to final value fees for accounts rated Below Standard or with a very high rate of “item not as described” returns.
